An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Information Department at Wye Valley NHS Trust.

We are looking for anindividual to join the department, who can deliver an excellent service and who would like to progress a career in either Business Intelligence or Finance.

Personal qualities needed to deliver in this role are:
  • An interest in/experience in Business Intelligence/Information management
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Excel
  • The ability to work at pace but retain attention to detail
  • Have the confidence to work with colleagues of varying levels of seniority.
We are looking for an Information Officer who has an interestfor analysis and developing their technical abilities. The post will report to a Senior Information Analyst and be part of the small Contracting information team. This team holds responsibility for the provision of information to support the contracting requirements of the trust and will work closely with finance and external agencies in monitoring and validating activity data. This post will be a key member of that team.

Main duties will include the production of an extensive range of timely, accurate and relevant information reports to both internal and external customers. These reports will be based on retrieving data from our reporting data warehouses.

The applicant should possess sound numerical skills, a methodical approach, a high degree of accuracy in their work and the ability to prioritise and to work to tight deadlines. Working knowledge of SQL and report writing skills using SSRS and power BI would be an advantage.

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to tackling challenges. You will be capable of independent working and will be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in both verbal and written format so as to present complex information clearly and concisely. You will have the ability to prioritise work effectively in order to deliver to deadlines.
