The global Digital & Data team is the central team in Foods & Refreshment (F&R) Research & Development (R&D) to enable and lead the digital transformation of our organisation. Our core expertise area and responsibility are to provide the systems expertise and user solutions to drive data quality in our core ingredient and product specifications. Increasingly, we are also strengthening our capability in data engineering, visualisation, reporting and data science to extract the maximum value from data we have. While using all data to support F&R’s computer modelled design agenda. The digital and data team is working closely together with many teams across F&R R&D, ranging from regional to local deploy centre teams on product specs to global design centres/Science & Technology/Capability teams on data science and models.
The Global Foods and Refreshment R&D team is heavily investing in data recording technology which is transforming our product development capability, providing a step change in our ability to capture formulation, processing, packaging, pilot plant and factory data. Therefore, we are looking for an Ingredient Specialist. In this role, you will work on F&R innovations that require new or changed ingredient specifications. Furthermore, you ensure that you get the ingredient specifications on time and with a variable minimum standard. The role is within an enthusiastic team across our locations in Wageningen & Colworth and you will work closely with other ingredient specialist and the Material Expert team in our global design centre.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a passionate foody with a strong interest in ingredient specifications
Create and maintain high quality ingredient specifications within IT systems for our products.
Co-define, apply and implementing foods ingredient specifications while ensuring this fulfils the requirements of our Unilever business teams (R&D, SC, Marketing, regulatory etc.)
Identifying gaps within our foods ingredient data and driving improvement of the data.
Strongly driving the digital & data culture within Unilever R&D by being an ambassador of IT tools and digital processes.
ALL ABOUT YOU:
A master's degree in food chemistry or equivalent
Experience in food chemistry, foods production and ingredient specification management
Excellent data meaning skills; applied skills in MS Excel, management of databases and PowerBI
Solution oriented and detail oriented while maintaining structured thinking and seeing the bigger picture.
A great agile team player & networker, but you can also work autonomously and motivate yourself in a highly matrixed organization.
