Job Reference: 236-GMSS-1029

Employer: Department: Administration Location: St James's House, Salford Salary: £63,751 - £73,664 Band 8c (Indicative)

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Group (NCA) unites five local hospitals to deliver high quality care across the North East of Greater Manchester.

The Alliance provides the benefits of scale but delivers this locally through multiple hospital sites which make up four new Care Organisations - Bury/Rochdale, North Manchester, Oldham and Salford. Using our mantra of 'Saving lives, Improving lives', the aim is for our Care Organisations to work closely with the communities they serve to deliver safe, high quality and reliable care, which are trusted, connected and pioneering.

Our Care Organisations are designed to operate within our group arrangement of hospitals, community and healthcare services which bring together over 17,000 staff and the services of The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. Our size and geographical reach means we are creating an environment each individual will be inspired and empowered by to be the best they can be. This is a really exciting time to join our new team.

NHS Greater Manchester Shared Services (GMSS)

Hosted by Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, NHS Greater Manchester Shared Services (GMSS) supports a range of health and care organisations working as their partner to provide corporate and IT services. Customers include Clinical Commissioning Groups, GPs and NHS Foundation Trusts, as well as a number of non-NHS organisations and other professional bodies across Greater Manchester.

In these truly challenging times, it is essential to our continued success to deliver above and beyond for our current CCG customer base across Greater Manchester. With over seven years' experience, we have a wealth of knowledge and a passion for supporting our customers with flexible and cost-effective solutions that provide the best possible services for their patients and populations. We are committed to ensuring that we maintain and build on the major economic gains we have delivered regionally during the past seven years, enhancing our relevance and value as a partner to each of the 10 localities through the delivery of exceptional customer outcomes.

Reporting to the interim Managing Director, this new role will lead the Care Gateway service and the Urgent and Emergency (UEC) team; and in the interim they will assume responsibility for the Registration Authority and Data Quality teams, all of which provide services to a range of customers. The Head of Operations will also play a lead role in the oversight and development of the Customer Relationship Management Framework and act as Caldicott Guardian.
