Part time - 3-4 days per week
Fixed term contract - 12 months

Want to help communicate to, and build employee engagement with, Wellcome's People Transformation programme by working in partnership with Internal Communications and the People division? Then this could be the opportunity for you!
The objective of the Internal Communications Officer role is to design and implement the People division's internal communications annual plan in collaboration with the People Leadership Team and Internal Communications to provide targeted, timely and engaging communications using a variety of channels to amplify impact.
You will be responsible for:

Delivering timely and effective messages and campaigns using an effective blend of internal channels that are understood and acted on by employees
Taking ownership of translating People initiatives, policy and procedures into plain English for our employees and other interested parties
Providing internal communications advice to senior managers and building productive relationships with them
Leading curation of the People input to the monthly Wellcome Staff Meetings and ongoing programmes that engage our staff with the impact of our People priorities
Ensuring all internal communications activities are supported by clear and measurable communication plans, where applicable with an agreed budget and sign-off process
Involving the People division so they are prepared for and where appropriate have contributed to the plans and editorial.
Shaping and leading the People division's intranet presence and organising soft/hard copy collateral to ensure the look/feel/tone strengthen our People story

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience working to help a People function with its internal communications
Track record in copy writing, editing and implementing internal communications in a complex business environment and demonstrable experience of implementing effective internal communications
Proven track record and experience of People/HR/events/duty of care internal communications work
Ability to manage programmes and projects
Previous experience of working and building relationships with people at all levels of an organisation
Ability to work in busy and changing environments that require flexibility and multi-tasking
Ability to handle and process sensitive information and messages
