Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an International Customs Administratorto work within our high performing International Operations Department based at HinckleyLE10 3BQ.

As the International Customs Admistrator you will provide support to the International Customs team through reporting and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Respond to enquiries received into the team and assist with providing helpful guidance and resolution.

  • Provide regular reporting and updates for both Customs and other internal teams

  • Obtain and distribute updates to Customs legislation to the Customs team

  • To assist in the resolution of queries relating to all our International services

  • To keep an administrative audit trail at all times and ensure tasks are followed through to resolution

  • Maintain and retrieve documentation relating to Customs transactions, authorisations and legislation

  • Complete and distribute minutes from meetings attended by the Customs teams

  • To support the Customs team by providing cross-functional support for all products and services as required

  • To undertake any other duties as required by your Line Manager

  • To identify areas of improvement to provide the best possible service

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

To be considered for this role you must have hands on Logistics and Customer Service experience. You will be passionate about delivering an outstanding and professional service to our internal and external customers.

Your excellent communication and organisational skills will be fully utilised in this role as will your ability to prioritise and manage multiple case loads. We will also expect you to have;
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills

  • Keen eye for detail

  • Manage time effectively when responding to requests and meeting deadlines

  • Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and plan workload

  • Have a professional telephone manner

  • Be proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides or equivalent

  • Be a self-starter who takes initiative

  • Be flexible in approach to additional duties

  • Display a professional attitude and be a good team player

Job Specifics

You will have a comprehensive induction to DPD, this will include both a corporate induction followed by a thorough induction of our International Operation.
