Inventory Controller

As an Inventory Controller for UNIQLO Europe, you will support in season inventory management across all of our stores in Europe (UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark and Italy) as well as our E-Commerce platform. You will work closely with the inventory control manager as well as the merchandising planning and store operations team to understand and execute the planned inventory strategy for your selected product areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the appropriate distribution of inventory across stores based on sales and inventory availability
  • Set up the auto allocation system, using appropriate targets and other numerical data
  • Work with store operations team to balance inventory requirements across the business to achieve all relevant KPI's
  • Identify and action stock consolidations to ensure all products are sold out in a timely manner
  • Work with merchandising planning team to determine any price amendments to minimise carried over inventory
  • Investigate any store queries and provide solutions
  • Undertake relevant analysis to support decision making
  • Support the continuous development of processes and procedures to drive innovation and efficiencies across the department


  • 3-5 years of experience within an inventory control role
  • Previous experience within the fashion retail industry is an advantage
  • Detailed understanding of relevant metrics and KPI's relating to inventory management
  • Analytical and numerate with advanced excel skills required
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team using own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the business
