Investment Risk & Performance Manager

The Risk team is currently looking to recruit an Investment Risk & Performance Manager to own the production of performance and risk analysis for all asset classes and the overall endowment portfolio and lead on providing independent collaborative challenge highlighting areas of market risk concentration and sources of returns, while affording quantitative support to the investment process.
The Investment Risk & Performance Manager will be responsible for:
Oversight and production of investment risk and performance analytics, monitoring and reporting to all relevant stakeholders.
Development and maintenance of appropriate analysis, models and systems.
Provide analysis and insights to support the investment process.
Monitoring of portfolio versus the investment mandate and internally created guidelines.
Lead regular performance and risk meetings.
Work with junior members of the team and IT support to implement enhanced performance and risk analytical models, systems and automated reporting workflows.
Oversight of external risk and performance service providers and management of relationships.
Working cooperatively within the wider Risk team and liaising with members of the Investment and Finance divisions as required.
Be the owner of the risk and control environment for your area and be accountable for the quality of your and your team's outputs.
Contribute to the creation and development of a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.
Exercise cost control and manage expenditure to work within the agreed operating budget.
Ensure adherence to our compliance policies.
Experience & Skills
Relevant experience within asset management/investment management.
Experience of financial markets, the investment process, and financial instruments.
Good knowledge and understanding of investment accounting and investment data, including accounting systems.
Knowledge of risk modelling techniques for multi-asset portfolios (multi-factor risk models).
Knowledge of performance and attribution calculations for multi-asset portfolios (e.g. Brinson models, etc.).
Good systems and technical experience, MS Office (especially Excel) with programming capabilities.
Eager to continue learning with an interest in developing a holistic understanding of multi-asset investing.
Salary: circa £85,000
