Job Description

Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and motivated IT Operations Support Analyst to join our high performing IT Operations team. This role will be based at our premises in Oldbury,B69 4DA.

As our IT Operations Support Analyst your primary responsibilities will be to provide professional, efficient and effective IT operational support services and having responsibility for the day to day management of the operation and operational support of IT business systems in line with business requirements and defined cost parameters.

Additional responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring of the IT infrastructure to ensure services are available when required, operational processing is completed as scheduled and escalation of any incidents affecting, or having the potential to affect, service.

  • Providing expert second line support comprising of a high level incident and problem resolution within defined service targets

  • 'Out of Hours' first line support as required

  • Responsible for all data and systems backup and storage in line with defined DR Policy and procedures

  • Identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives where relevant

  • Input on operational process design, implementation and subsequent support.

Qualifications

About You

To be considered for this role you must have demonstrable experience in a similar role within a fast paced and dynamic environment. In-depth knowledge of Unix, Internet Services, Excel and Google Cloud Platform is essential. Knowledge of Analytics and Universe would be advantageous. We would also expect;
  • You will be highly numerate with strong organisational skills and have exceptional attention to detail

  • You will be a confident presenter with first class communication skills both verbally and written

  • Someone that really enjoys creating and providing solutions, resolving problems and demonstrates resilience, determination and self-motivation.

Job Specifics

Due to the nature of our business we operate 24 hours 7 days a week.

This role operates a 4 on 4 off 12 hour shift pattern and it will involve working days, nights and weekends so you must be flexible to work these hours.
