ESN Services organisation require a Security Test Lead to join their Information Security Transformation Programme working closely with the ESN Head of Infrastructure Delivery.
As Information Security Test Lead, you will oversee all aspects of our security testing programme, including scope definition, supplier engagement, planning, testing execution, reporting and remediation tracking. This includes the implementation and application of project procedures, tools and techniques. You will provide support to the ESN programme, and act as a source of testing information and metrics.

The Security Test Lead will effectively manage all aspects of our security testing regime on the ESN delivery programme, ensuring the workload of the team is effectively planned to ensure timely delivery, as well as assisting team members with issues and defect triage, reporting and tracking.
Planning and coordination skills will be an essential part of the role as you will need to manage both customers and suppliers. Leading the testing effort will entail allocation of resources and management of work currently being tested, contributing to the quality of the documents produced and identifying product risks through the testing per-formed. The Security Test Lead will be responsible for encouraging good working practices and to ensure you maximise the team’s full potential.
You will be part of the Infrastructure Team, engaged to work with a large group of talented Infrastructure specialists working on the ESN programme. This represents a unique opportunity to lead on numerous testing activities and would suit an enthusiastic and committed security test professional keen to make a real and valued contribution to a significant project.
We are looking for a Security Test Lead, to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to cover numerous activities such as:
- Understanding the contract deliverables
- Engaging with Security and Infrastructure Architects
- Defining product and component security testing scope
- Engaging with the Customer
- Flexible to support as per project need
- Engaging with 3rd Party suppliers as ESN Pen Test Framework
- Planning of all preparatory tasks
- Working closely to support external Pen Testers
- Reviewing and communicating ITHC reports internally and to the client
- Defining a Remedial Plan
- Engaging with the MSI core business, to ensuring vulnerabilities are addressed and tracked
- Production of testing metrics and reports
Accurate reporting, collaboration with project stakeholders and associated delivery teams in resolution of issues or defects is also a key aspect of this role. The Security Test Lead will also, from time to time, be required to keep hands-on by producing reports and
supporting any security tests internally as well as externally.
Other activities include knowledge sharing, engaging with designers/developer to clarify features and functionality, functional and non-functional testing, defect tracking and feeding back into the development of the software testing process.
- Technical understanding to provide security control requirements for system implementations.
- Good experience in an IT security or technology related role
- At least 2 years of experience in systems, network, and application Pen testing
- Good Understanding of Unix/Linux, windows and Network systems

Documented evidence of the eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. The candidate will ideally already hold a current UK Security Clearance, or be willing to undergo Security vetting, following a Baseline Personnel Security Screening (BPSS) check.
