IT Systems Engineer

We have a new opportunity to join Emerald in the role of Systems Engineer. This role is responsible for both 3rd line and Infrastructure support, as well as maintenance and monitoring. The role requires experience and good knowledge of internal security covering servers, networks, switches, endpoints and mobile devices

The Role & Team:
Working out of our Bingley office, you will be joining our very busy and expanding group infrastructure team. The team has a wide scope of interesting and demanding projects to support across the group, with multiple opportunities for on the job, online and classroom-based training to help facilitate project requirements and solutions development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In joining us, you’ll be part of a specialist team that supports and protects Emerald’s core IT infrastructure, working with Service Desk and Systems Engineers to be a 3rd line point of technical escalation in the resolution of incidents, problems and service requests. As part of this you’ll take part in company-wide infrastructure projects, liaising with third party suppliers for the costing & project delivery.
Who We’re looking For:
- Are you an experienced infrastructure Systems Engineer with a great service based attitude and work ethic and feel comfortable in a high pressured target orientated and multi-disciplined team?
- We're looking for someone with strong knowledge of IT security, networking (switches, routers, firewalls), VM Ware, Microsoft (AD, DNS, DHCP)?
- In addition to this we’re looking for expertise in Windows Server 2008, 2012, PowerShell, Office 365 suite of applications, IT systems functionality and capabilities, and BC/DR requirements and capabilities.
- You’ll also have the opportunity to work with Cloud systems operations/architecture (Azure), Linux operating systems and ITIL, so any experience in these areas would be desirable but can be learnt in the role.
