The Global IT Deployment organization manages a complex suite of project portfolios and is responsible for a wide variety of hardware deployment, new site launches and project initiatives that cross business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfillment IT. Our projects deliver on the solutions that power the physical fulfillment of our customers' orders. This includes management of site launches across the globe and directly supports shipping packages to millions of Amazon.com customers across the world. The Operations Technology Infrastructure team is looking for an analytical, driven leader to serve as a Senior Program Manager, Worldwide Deployments for our rapidly growing global IT infrastructure needs. One of our latest ventures in innovation is the creation of IT Project Intake group. The primary objective of this group is to support the growth of worldwide IT by conducting intake and piloting of requests related to building a global and scalable platform that includes deployment for infrastructure incl. networks, scanners, wireless devices, and new product implementation across Fulfillment centers, Sort centers, AMZL and GSF sites.
This role is focused on technical projects involving replacement and upgrades to end of life networks, wireless devices, access points, switches, deployment, implementation for new products and services. The Sr. Program Manager will be the conduit for technical initiatives that require heavy engagement between engineering teams and Ops Tech Field IT.

In this role, you will work proactively with partners across the organization to:
· Technical scoping
· Milestone planning
· Technical risk assessment and mitigation planning
· Building comprehensive rollout plans
· Managing all stakeholder communication
· Developing repeatable processes
· Policy development, support practices and documentation
· Improve team processes that accelerate innovation, reduce costs, and/or improve quality.
· Drive clear, concise and actionable meetings bringing the right partners to the table to drive decision making. You are able to transform raw thoughts into clear technical documentation and/or direction.
·
You will partner closely with support teams that will perform both remote and onsite tasks, along with ensuring the proper test plans and deployment procedures are in place at scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
· 8+ years of experience managing large global IT projects from initiation to closure.
· Proven track record building detailed WBS, contingency plans, deployment plans, issue/risk plan and communication.
· Ability to work with a high degree of ambiguity, and work independently with 2+ engineering team(s) to successfully deliver cross-functional pilot projects (from inception to completion) that are of a high quality (e.g., secure, testable, maintainable, low-defects, etc.).
· Deep understanding for network infrastructure, wireless architecture and demonstrated competence in the underlying services that run our facilities.
· Demonstrated ability to manage the scope of engineering efforts under control and accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, identifying and clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately.
· Understanding of core IT infrastructure and service concepts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Intermediate-level knowledge in one or more of the following: LAN, WAN, Wireless, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, Low voltage data cabling, or data facilities technologies.
· Exemplary communication skills, managing conflict, escalations, negotiating compromise and influencing others.
· Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities.
· Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
· Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across organizational structures and multiple management levels.
· Experience working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities.
· Ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments and levels and serve as a role model for teamwork.
· Site launch experience of IT infrastructure (WLAN, LAN, end user equipment) in retail, distribution, logistics or similar.
· Experience with procurement of IT equipment.
