DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
All 4 is Channel 4's video-on-demand proposition, home to original and exclusive shows, box sets of iconic series, live and catch up TV from Channel 4 as well as shows from key content partnerships.

All 4 is available as a direct- to customer offering, available as an app on over 20 different platforms including mobiles, tablets, PCs, TVs and games consoles, as well as being syndicated to key partner platforms such as Sky and Virgin. All 4 reaches over 5 million monthly viewers and has more than half of all 16-34s in the UK as registered users.The All 4 Product team's mission is to ensure that All 4 is best way to consume shows from Channel 4. To this end they are responsible for creating the best possible user experience, one that is both seamless and engaging, and that encourages visitors to become viewers, to view more, and to return more often.

The All 4 Product team reports to the Chief Product Officer who is a member of the Channel 4 Executive team.

ROLE PURPOSE
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that All 4 promotion and merchandising is optimally delivered on the multiple 3rd party platforms on which it is made available to consumers. Ensuring that All 4 programming is enticing, timely and relevant such that we maximise viewer journey conversions.

They will be responsible for creating the schedules of promotions which appear on the various third-party platform for our All 4 Owned & Operated product and managing the delivery of our syndicated All 4 version which appears on platforms such as Sky, Virgin & Freeview.

The role reports into the Head of All 4 Editorial.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be responsible for the scheduling of promotions of All 4 Content (Catch Up, Archive, All 4 Exclusives including All 4 commissions, Ad Funded programmes) across all third party platforms, ensuring All 4 Scheduling strategies are followed and contractual obligations for syndicated platforms are met
  • Understand the promotional opportunities available on the different platforms and work to maximise conversion for All 4 content within these opportunities
  • Take an active interest in understanding the linear schedule, its priorities and likely impact to All 4 scheduling and performance across the year
  • Devise and manage the content editorial strategy for third party platforms managed (e.g. Sky, Virgin, Freeview)
  • Foster and develop excellent relationships with editorial counterparts within these 3rd party platforms to ensure the best performance of All 4 measured by conversion and time spent.
  • The 3rd Party Platform Editor will aid the All 4 Channel Management and Editorial teams who develop collections by coordinating, selecting and scheduling all of the content, liaising with all relevant internal teams as required and articulating the plan for distribution to the wider company as appropriate.
  • Actively track performance of managed syndicated platforms against targets and work with the Head of All 4 Editorial to continuously improve performance
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Technical & Professional
  • Demonstrable passion and experience of working in theVOD / online video market and understanding of new trends in media consumption and development of the VOD market
  • Strong numeracy skills, demonstrable understanding and experience of business analytics and how to use data to make decisions
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Excellent general IT and technology skills
Decision Making
  • Ability to make judgements about appropriate content taking into account commercial, editorial and contractual factors
Relationship Management (Internal, External, 3rd parties)
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing conflicting priorities and conflicting stakeholder expectations
  • Demonstrable experience of establishing rapport, credibility and trust-based collaborative relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
