DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Procurement is responsible for the acquisition of all indirect goods & services across Channel 4 and provides commercial expertise to ensure the achievement of Corporation's strategic objectives.

JOB PURPOSE

Working as an integral part of the Procurement team with responsibilities for the day to day management of the Procurement Plan. Along with utilising a variety of contract management tools and databases to support contract management and compliance for Channel 4.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsibility for collating & day to day management of the Procurement Plan
  • Managing a variety of contract management tools and databases to support contract management and compliance to include:
  • Maintenance of IS Infrastructure contracts register and tracking of associated renewal dates and required review dates
  • Upload relevant licences / contracts into Procurement contracts database
  • Liaising with colleagues in Procurement, Finance and IS to clarify renewal & budget requirements
  • Providing support for the Procurement team in relation to tenders, supplier performance and adhoc data requests
  • Management of low value contract & licence renewals to include requesting quotations for review / negotiation
  • Liaising with suppliers for all queries relating to quotations, orders, invoices and associated correspondence
  • Support finance with forecasting and variance analysis
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience in a similar role with responsibility for low value contract & licensing negotiations
  • Experience of the day to day management of a Procurement Plan
  • Experience of working on a variety of contract management tools and databases
  • Experience and capability of working with large volumes of data with a high focus on accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work with all levels of management
  • Highly motivated self-starter with an ability to initiate and manage work independently
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Understanding of P2P system and processes
