DESCRIPTION:

Late Night Cartoons, Inc is looking to immediately fill a Full Time position as STORYBOARD LEAD on an adult half-hour comedy series. The production is fast paced with quick turnarounds. The position will last approximately 3 months with the possibility for extension. This is currently a remote position but a New York based candidate is preferred.

Responsibilities

\u25cf Read Script; prepare shot ideas, questions and concerns to discuss with Director/AD

\u25cf Generate thumbnails for various shots; assign and monitor thumbnail assignments to other team members

\u25cf Collaborate in depth with Director and AD on staging solutions when necessary

\u25cf Guide Storyboard Team in executing shot for Animatic phase of production, with emphasis on maintaining show's stylistic qualities

\u25cf Provide team with feedback on shot composition, timing and acting as necessary

\u25cf Handout, track, review, note, re-assign and approve Storyboard tasks using ftrack

\u25cf Attend Episode kickoffs and take notes and prepare any questions or concerns

\u25cf Identify tasks or assets that should be prioritized to prevent bottlenecks; particularly where new Background or Character Designs will be necessary or helpful

\u25cf Occasionally field questions on behalf of Director/AD when necessary

\u25cf Adjust or revise existing shots for reuse

\u25cf Shepherd shots to Editorial Department for Animatic Assembly

QUALIFICATIONS:

\u25cf Previous Leadership experience preferred

\u25cf Strong knowledge of Adobe Animate

\u25cf Strong sense of acting and timing for character based animation

\u25cf Knowledge of Animation Production Pipeline from Storyboard to Post is a must

\u25cf Understanding specifics of rigging and puppets is a major plus

\u25cf Experience with Adobe Character Animator, Photoshop, After Effects is a major plus

\u25cf Reel demonstrating experience in storyboarding for television
