Hours - Full time,  Monday to Friday 8.30 am - 5.00 pm

What you’ll do

This role incorporates study and completion of the NVQ level 3 in Business Administration whilst working in the Fleet Department during the 18 month fixed term placement.

The purpose of this post is to work closely with all team members to ensure the smooth running of each of all fleet sections in terms of general administration duties.

You will provide a range of clerical duties including sorting and distributing post, respond to routine correspondence and enquiries from internal and external customers, suppliers, and other staff, deal with all customer contact effectively, and courteously, in line with policies and procedures and maintain manual and computerised systems including inputting data and keeping records

You will report to the Head of Fleet Support Services who has overall responsibility for the day to day running of the office.

What we are looking for in a successful candidate 

Strong desire for personal development

Communication, interpersonal and customer relationship skills

GCSE Maths & English Grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent)

Having working knowledge of Google Sheets, Forms & Slides would be an advantage.

Qualifications
 

The experience you will need 

Essential: 

  • Maths and English GCSE A* - C/9 - 4 or equivalent

  • Computer skills 

Desirable:

  • Administration Experience

  • Experience of working with the public

Where you’ll work 

You’ll be based at our Hinckley Commercial depot in Hinckley, Mon - Friday helping the depot carry out commercial waste collections throughout Leicestershire, Warwickshire.  The role will be in the office working in a team of 9 people reporting to the Business Manager and Operations Manager. As this is an apprentice role, you will also be coached and mentored by our learning and development team throughout your apprenticeship and whilst you are working towards your qualification. Hours of work will be 8.30 am - 5 pm with 30 mins for lunch.
