£8.72 per hour
30 hours per week over 4/5 days (to be dscussed at interview). The successful candidate would need to cover on calls on a week about basis (including weekends), a retainer of £15 will be paid.
On occasions of annual leave cover, sickness or business needs the applicant would be expected to increase to full time hours.

An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance/Grounds Person to join the team at Sue Ryder - St Johns Hospice.

The Maintenance/Grounds Person will help to manage and maintain the Hospice and beautiful grounds of our building. Tasks will include a variety of gardening duties and maintenance programmes, which are required to be carried out with as minimum disruption as possible. Our ideal candidate will be a team player, who is friendly, adaptable & approachable.

Previous experience in a similar maintenance role is preferable but not essential. Knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH and other legislation would be an advantage. DIY and gardening experience is essential.

Must have own transport.

St John's is a Sue Ryder hospice, based in the village of Moggerhanger in Bedfordshire. We're here for people aged 18 and over who are living with conditions like cancer, heart failure and lung disease. We offer a range of support to communities across Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, from inpatient care in our 15 bed hospice to day services which help people stay at home longer and offer respite to carers. The location is serviced by the number 73 bus, however due to shifts patterns; it is recommended you have your own transport to get to and from work.
