This role entails…

This role will be a part of the RTR M&E finance team,  whilst it goes through a period of restructure,  mainly supporting  The Channels DMA with various month end tasks whilst owning some key month end processes .     

 

Key Responsibilities

 

What do I need to get this role/job?

 

Minimum criteria 

 

  • Part- or newly-qualified accountant or exceptional QBE, with proven experience in management accounting (with financial accounting experience an advantage).

  • Sound understanding of the Broadcasting industry.

  • IT literate with experience using MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook

  • Experience of working in a management or financial accounting role, ideally within a transactional service centre.

Key Criteria:

 

  • Preparation of divisional monthly P&L accounts 

  • Write and run Smartview reports as and when necessary 

  • Maintain accruals and prepayments.

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Review and manage aged GRNI.

  • Prepare regular variance analysis and raise notable variances including risks and opportunities with relevant business contact to ensure spend remains in line with budget.

  • Assist with cashflow forecasting

  • Ensuring and providing coverage for month-end for any aspect of our divisional management accounting work, as required.

  • Providing analytical support for DMA and Finance Manager, as required.

  • Working with DMA, FM and other members of the team to standardise processes wherever possible.

  • Any other reasonable duties in support of M&E and shared services business areas.

  • Continually enhance ITV’s reputation for excellent customer service through accurate and timely management reporting and analysis, with efficient and professional response to queries.  Also through completing GL transactional processes and reconciliations efficiently and accurately.

  • Deliver service in line with agreed controls and procedures.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within RTR M&E and across the BSC as a whole; proactively seek opportunities to improve service delivery to customers.

  • Provide information for monthly key performance indicators.

  • Undertake other ad hoc activities required by the BSC management.

  • Maintain good working relationships with other RTR teams and other process teams in the BSC.

  • Work as a member of the M&E team, participating fully in team activities and taking joint responsibility for team goals.

  • Provide support as required to other process areas; e.g. through peak volumes of work.

  • Work with the your line manager to identify and prioritise and act upon self-development and learning opportunities.
