Recently, we won a tender that brings with it a major sponsorship opportunities, and we will be activating the rights that this win gives us in order to maximise the value of this sponsorship. This means creating exciting internal and external programmes of marketing activity that will engage our people, our clients and our prospects.

Main purpose of the role:

We are looking for a creative, highly organised, flexible and resilient person to join the marketing communications team, initially for 12 months, to help us deliver the activity associated with a major marketing and sponsorship campaign being undertaken by the firm across a three year period.

Note: This contract is for a fixed period of 12 months initially.

Responsibilities will include:

· Supporting the designated marketing activation project manager in delivering internal and external marketing activation

· Supporting the designated marketing activation project manager in managing external marketing and design agencies

· Working with the marketing team, the BD clients & markets team and the BIDs team to identify and engage valuable clients and prospects in project activity and assist the marketing team (and any external agencies) in planning and delivering full client hospitality programmes

· Keeping plans and project trackers up to date and circulating to all interested parties, as and when necessary

· Keeping budgets and budget trackers up to date (monitoring ongoing campaign spend against the budget, keeping accurate records and highlighting where variances occur) and circulating to all interested parties as and when necessary

· Using the full marketing mix for the company’s marketing communications

· Writing / contributing to copy for all marketing collateral, including brochures, letters, emails and digital content

· Undertaking detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met


Key Skills and Experience:

· Degree or experience in marketing, PR or events would be preferable

· Previous experience in a similar role – so a role that has required the day to day management of multiple streams of activity

· Very strong project management/organisational skills

· Ability to use spreadsheets to plan activity, analyse data and spot trends

· Outstanding writing skills, with faultless grammar and spelling

· Self-motivated team player used to working under pressure from multiple clients and delivering excellent client service

· An understanding of the strategic value of communications

· Experience of organising events (personal or professional)

· A creative mind

· The confidence to contribute ideas and insight at meetings and the confidence to challenge the thinking of more senior people

· The ability to flex hours of work, as the role demands

Standard hours of work are 9.30 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch (35 hours per week). However, this role will require flexibility in working hours with some early starts and some late finishes inevitable.
