Materials Management Officer

A vacancy has arisen for a Materials Management Officer, based within Procurement Department. The post-holder will be employed and managed by Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Applicants should be educated to City & Guilds/ NVQ Level 3 in Health Care Support or equivalent levels of qualifications and/or combination of experience. The successful candidate will possess good IT skills along with basic numerical skills. Preferably applicants will have gained experience in a comparable customer focussed operational environment.

Applicants will also have effective communication skills and hold a flexible approach to working practices. Ideally applicants should have experience of working within a team and have experience in the control of stock levels although this is not essential.

Applicants should be an effective team player with the ability to use their initiative to resolve day-to-day issues. Ideally applicants will also possess experience and knowledge of Materials Management and Receipt and Distribution systems although this is not essential.
