Alternatively, the city of Southampton is only a short train or car journey away or if you prefer the sea, Bournemouth is also accessible.

This is a newly created post within the Estates Operations team where you will be required to work in Salisbury District Hospital on the planned maintenance programme. Applicants should have a good all round ability and must be capable of working on their own initiative to undertake planned maintenance within the hospital environment including repairs to a wide range of engineering equipment. You will need the ability to work unsupervised & prioritise your own allocated workload. The post holder must be able to participate in Estates' On Call Rotas following successful induction and site familiarisation.

The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday within the Operations Team in Estates, reporting to the Lead Mechanic (HVAC). For full details of this Full-time, permanent post please see the Job Description.

Candidates must hold a:-

CITB/JIB Apprenticeship Certificate plus a level 2 technical certificate in an engineering discipline. Or alternative qualification such as an Engineering NVQ 2 and suitable work based development.

UK driving licence Category B1

Salary Band: £19,737 - £21,142 with Paid On Call & 4.5% of salary for on-call standby working on a ratio of 1 in 4 / 5. (Band 3 Agenda For Change)
