The department requires an enthusiastic and efficient Medical Personal Assistant for a busy role within the Trust.

The post holder will provide secretarial and administrative services to the Urology Consultants at the Lister Hospital in particular processing clinic letters, diary management and dealing with telephone queries.

You will be expected to be flexible and reliable and be able to cover for other secretaries during periods of annual leave. It is essential to have knowledge of a word processing package (ideally Microsoft Word) as well as an understanding of the NHS and experience of medical terminology.

The successful applicant would need to be able to prioritise workloads and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple diaries and be confident dealing with staff at all levels. You will have a naturally helpful disposition who enjoys working under pressure and as part of a large and flexible team.
