Job Description

We are looking for a Medical Writer for our medical strategy and education team.This is an exciting role for a talented individual who wishes to develop their career in medical writing. The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced team of writers across a range of therapy areas on exciting and innovative medical education projects. These could include healthcare-professional education, congress activities, training and promotional materials, social media activities and online engagement. Close links with our advertising, public relations and clinical trial experience teams provide avenues for cross-functional working and afford our writers with exposure to different ways of thinking to enhance our medical communications offerings. Our main therapy areas are currently oncology, dermatology, HIV and respiratory disease but new business wins will provide an opportunity to work in other areas.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing editorial work of the highest quality, communicating with clients, and supporting our account handlers and management team with the wider business needs. You will need to be able to critically appraise scientific data and have a flair for creativity, in order to communicate information in an accurate and visually impactful way. You will also need to work well in a team, ensuring content is delivered on time and on budget, and using creative thinking to help unpick client challenges and think of new ways to expand our business.

To be successful in your application, you will need to demonstrate a passion for healthcare, a solid scientific background, a clear and concise writing style, a keen eye for detail and an enthusiasm for learning.


  • You should already have a bachelor's degree in the life sciences (2:1 or above) and possibly a master's degree or a PhD.
  • You will have demonstrated a passion and aptitude for clear and concise writing throughout your academic studies, or from your extra-curricular activities.
