Here's more about the role and what we're looking for;

We're currently looking for an individual who has enthusiasm and keen to develop a career as an Engineer (37.5 hours per week)within our Estates Department at London Road Community Hospital, Derby.

You'll need to have knowledge of Estates, maintenance procedures and priorities along with excellent communications skills, bags of enthusiasm and initiative.

Experience is advantageous but necessarily, we are interested in your skills set and personality that you can bring to the role and we'll provide the foundations and training for a successful career.

Quality and patient care is paramount to us, and the Estates & Facilities Team ensures a first class engineering service is provided to all sites.

You will be part of the team who are responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive electrical maintenance and installation service across the Trust's estates, which provides a responsive, efficient, financially effective service.

You will be expected to provide a flexible and efficient repair and maintenance service over a wide range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment in a wide range of locations and conditions from Wards, Out Patient Clinics & Departments and office locations.

Key Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative is essential

Possession of C & G in Electrical Maintenance and Engineering or equivalent is essential, as is possession of the current IEE Wiring Regulations Certificate.

You will be required to participate in an on-call rota and this is essential requirement
