Job description
Working in collaboration with the Insight and Research team, the National Involvement Team have an integral role in RNIB in supporting colleagues, teams and blind and partially sighted people so that lived experience of sight loss is woven into everything we think, decide and do.

Connect Voices is our online group of blind and partially sighted customers who volunteer to share their experiences of sight loss and get involved in the many different opportunities that we share with them every day. The National Involvement Team are responsible for managing the relationship with the Connect Voices group and ensuring everyone using this platform has a positive and enjoyable experience.

This is a 12 month fixed term post to cover maternity leave in the Involvement Team.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is interested in working directly with blind and partially sighted people (both online and offline) and has excellent communication and organisational skills. This is also a great opportunity to develop or enhance many transferable skills including cross-team working, facilitation, negotiation skills and problem-solving, and gain experience in producing communications using a variety of different formats.

The main duties will include:

- Day to day oversight of the Connect Voices Facebook Group

- Engaging directly with online customers ensuring posts are acknowledged and queries followed up.

- Liaising with other staff responsible for other customer groups e.g. regional Facebook Groups to expand our reach and increase participation

- Support staff colleagues from RNIB teams across the organisation to develop short, online surveys (Quick Polls) and advise on appropriate online messaging

- Produce communications to share through a range of different channels, including Radio Connect and Digital media.

- Support the Insight Team with the facilitation of online discussion groups
