This is an exciting opportunity for two administrators to join the North West Specialty Recruitment Team.

Our team coordinates the recruitment and selection processes for junior doctors and dentists into training posts across England, Scotland and Wales for a number of specialties including Psychiatry, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Restorative and Special Care Dentistry. We also run some regional recruitment to posts in the North West including Internal Medicine Training, General Practice and Anaesthesia. We work closely with lead recruiters, Royal Colleges and other HEE regions to secure consultant doctors and dentists to act as panel members/interviewers on recruitment days.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are currently in the process of converting and adapting our interview processes to work online. At present, we are using MS Teams to deliver online interviews. A good level of confidence in, or the willingness to learn using MS Teams including the ability to support panel members and applicants with queries over how to use the technology will be essential.

Key duties include

Providing admin support for online interviews

Responsible for administrative support and operational delivery of recruitment (including online) in line with specialty specific timelines and national direction with a particular focus on applicant queries.

Successfully assist with the end to end recruitment process to include vacancy creation; longlisting; shortlisting, self-assessment verification; interview/selection centre (currently online); offers and feedback

Support the Recruitment Managers/ Coordinators, with the expectation they will take ownership and deliver the responsibilities devolved to them from the Recruitment Managers or Recruitment Coordinators particularly around applicant related issues.

Source NW panel members to attend other national recruitment.

Deputise as required at specialty specific recruitment board meetings.

Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of key software including Oriel 2 and Qpercom and willingness to support ongoing system development.

Oversee the management of the national recruitment inboxes on a daily basis and respond to many of those queries. Answer telephone calls from applicants and panel members. Maintain national and North West recruitment website and use of social media.

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 4 with a full-time starting salary of £21,892, with a pay step increase after 3 years' service. These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
