An opportunity has arisen within the Specialist Medicine Directorate and we are delighted to invite applicants to apply for the position of full-time Administration Assistant/Typist for the department of Neurology. The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day typing of clinical information including clinic letters, reports and general correspondence, as well as undertaking general administrative duties within the team and the office environment.

This post will provide fantastic opportunities for individuals who have administrative experience and who are looking to become part of a dynamic and high performing team.

You will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be flexible in approach, and be able to demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity. Fundamental to this post is the ability to multi-task and effectively manage your workload working to tight deadlines.

You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00.

If you are successful in obtaining a position with our Trust which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check. As a registered body with the DBS, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will conduct the administration of this application on your behalf and the cost will be recovered from your salary, either as a one-off payment or over 3 months. Currently the charges made by the Disclosure and Barring Service are - Standard DBS check £30.20 and Enhanced DBS check £48.20. The level of check required depends on the role that you have been offered.
