This role entails…

We are looking for an On-Screen Journalist who is passionate about regional news and has the knowledge and experience to deliver original, hard-hitting and compelling journalism that will lead the news agenda across the ITV Channel region.

We are looking for a strong on-screen performer who will develop their contacts to bring in original stories and deliver creative reports to the highest possible production values. We are a multi-platform operation so you will be enthusiastic about developing an online presence through our web sites and via social media interaction.

You will be confident and a self-starter who demonstrates a good knowledge of the Channel Islands and our output as well as being a strong team player.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Minimum role criteria:

  • Proven track record of delivering impactful, original, high-quality & distinctive journalism.  

  • Proven technical ability (self shooting, editing, live reporting & digital) to give the story maximum impact as part of a package, online report, 'blog' or as a 'live'.

  • A strong knowledge of media law & compliance and the ability to exercise excellent editorial judgement.
