On-Screen Journalist - ITV Channel TV, Guernsey

Minimum 6 months contract to cover maternity leave

Are you an experienced journalist who is passionate about regional news and would relish the challenge to lead our editorial team in Guernsey?

We are looking for an experienced reporter who would relish the chance to work on-screen whilst also taking an active role as part of Channel's management team.

You would be regularly on-screen delivering engaging, hard-hitting and compelling journalism to our diverse audience across the ITV Channel region, whilst also managing and coordinating resources in Guernsey and taking line management responsibility.

You will have a proven track record producing creative, original stories; consistently delivering reports to the highest possible production values. We are a multi-platform operation so you will proactively develop your online presence through our web sites and via social media interaction.

A good level of physical fitness is required due to the weight of the equipment needed in this role. The successful candidate will be asked to undergo a pre-employment medical check to ensure their fitness to perform the job and to identify any pre-existing medical conditions that may be exacerbated by carrying a reasonably heavy camera and kit.

We will expect you to be willing and enthusiastic about developing your camera and editing skills to compliment the newsgathering and story-telling skills you already possess.

If you have the skills and experience to help us continue to offer award winning news to our audience, we'd love to hear from you.

Closing date: 14th August 2020
