There has never been a better time to join our Trust than now! We run three busy hospital sites at Peterborough, Huntingdon and Stamford and provide outpatient services in two community hospitals in Ely and Doddington. Our 6,000 staff serve a growing population of 750,000 across North Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.

2020 has been a challenging year and so to support our response to COVID-19 we have created 30 new posts within our Outpatients Booking Teams.

As a Booking Clerk, you will play an important role in our patient experience by ensuring that appointments are booked in a timely way and communicated clearly. At this time will not only make a difference to our patients and colleagues but to the wider community as well.

This is a fast-paced role and we are looking for candidates who are willing to take on a challenge, be flexible in their approach and work well in a team. Duties will include processing referrals, updating relevant IT systems, contacting patients to book, cancel, amend or confirm appointments, and assisting other members of staff within the department when necessary. Full training and support will be provided.

What we are looking for:

You will have a positive approach to working within an evolving department, have an eye for detail and the passion to deliver outstanding patient care. You will also have a good standard of written and verbal communication, be competent in MS Office packages and ideally have at least 12 months clerical experience.

These new roles are available at both our Hinchingbrooke and Peterborough sites which have been risk assessed as COVID-secure workplaces and interviews will take place over the evenings of 2nd & 3rd November with an anticipated start dates across November and December.
