The Access Division is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to work as an Outpatient Ophthalmology Appointments Clerk within our busy booking office at Southlands Hospital.

This role will be working alongside our Waiting list clerks assisting them with booking of appointments, telephone appointments, cancellations and queries. Assisting the team with Docman referrals and taking Ophthalmology calls from our call centre.

This is a challenging admin role working within an extremely busy department.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following skills:
* have excellent interpersonal skills
* demonstrate a flexible approach to working
* be able to deal with anxious patients in a sensitive manner.
* be able to operate effectively as part of a team or using your own initiative.

This is an Outpatients Appointments admin role, which will involve taking high levels of patient phone calls.

You will be supported by experienced staff whilst working as part of a team delivering a high quality service to patients and other departments within the hospital.

Thursday 09:00-18:00
