Paralegal - 12 Months FTC

The Legal team is looking to recruit a Paralegal for a maternity cover.
You will also help with our legal work across Wellcome's wide-ranging charitable, operational and investment activities and help us manage our systems and processes.
The Paralegal will handle a wide range of tasks including:
Drafting and reviewing legal documents and working with Legal team members to provide advice to colleagues.
Working directly with colleagues outside the Legal team to ensure that standard templates are used correctly, acting as a first port of call for routine queries relating to contracting.
Assisting with preparing papers for board meetings.
Research and horizon-scanning into legal areas relevant to Wellcome's activities and supporting presentations and training within the Legal team and to the wider organisation.
Assisting in the development of template legal documents.
Project managing projects led by the Legal team.
Any other duties that may be required from time to time.
Experience & Skills:
Research, analysis, drafting, administrative and organisational skills;
Ability to right clear, precise and technical legal language; and to explain complex legal ideas to a non-legal audience;
Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines;
Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Education & Qualifications
Hold either a professional paralegal qualification (i.e. CILEx) or a good degree in English law or GDL (or equivalent).
