Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) brings together a world-class team of researchers, developers, and engineers to build the future of connection within virtual and augmented reality. Research Program Managers build and scale global research operations programs to strengthen the impact of our world-class UX Research team. We do this by implementing operational systems, connecting teams and knowledge, and problem-solving challenges to enable Researchers to do their most impactful work. FRL is seeking an experienced Program Manager who will establish and maintain operational processes focusing on improving research participant recruiting for the Participant Management Team and the UX Research team. This individual will work to lead strategic planning of programs, navigate ambiguous situations, manage short and long-term project milestones, manage our team of participant management recruiters, and connect and build resources to research needs.

Participant Management Program Manager - Facebook Reality Labs Responsibilities

• Create strong relationships with the Research Directors, Managers and Researchers to develop solutions to address issues and forecast needs for the key product teams

• Serve as a dependable point of contact between the Participant Management team, Research Operations, and other cross-functional teams around participant recruiting processes and policies

• Contribute to overall Participant Management team processes and tools, creating, documenting and initiating improvements where needed

• Create, scale, and execute strategic programs to ensure Researchers and the team are working at optimum efficiency

• Educate Researchers on research policies and how to best partner with the Participant Management team

• Lead and grow a team of Participant Management Recruiters

• Collaborate with Participant Management Team and cross-functional partners to create, maintain and refine recruiting processes and programs

• Support the team by proactively identifying and solving problems and issues, effectively distributing pertinent information, openly communicating roadblocks and successes, and managing and prioritising multiple projects and programs

• Prioritise competing needs with sound, reasoning, and creative solutions

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant or related as a project manager or program manager with experience establishing systems, supporting large teams, and developing relationships

• Excellent organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Track record of operating independently and delivering results, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organised manner

• Ability to be successful in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and keen ability to identify problems and proactively work towards solutions

• Advanced verbal and written communication skills for interacting with and influencing researchers and/or cross functional stakeholders with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences

• Familiarity and experience working within the UX Research field and participant recruiting methods

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in managing and maintaining panels
