We have an exciting new opportunity for an innovative and organised individual to join our Public Engagement department on a fixed term contract as Partnerships & Networks Adviser. Reporting into the Strategic Design and Innovation Lead you will help fulfil the department's strategy by developing partnerships, connecting to networks and relevant topics of conversation and by exploring different approaches to achieve change through public engagement.

In this role you will:

  • Work with the team and proactively manage opportunities with partners in different fields who might support the evolution and impact of the public engagement portfolio
  • Map different approaches and fields of practice as a resource to support our strategic programmes
  • Interact with current and potential delivery partners and advisors to explore and agree ways of working and a logic model for the change we might achieve by working together
  • Support and guide other team members in understanding how different fields of practice can support our ambitions, by taking a deep focus upon emerging opportunity areas

We are looking for someone proactive and pragmatic with an interest in public engagement and a curiosity about different approaches to engage people with health research to achieve change. To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bring experience of delivery of different types and scales of partnership project
  • Enjoy tackling complex and interconnected challenges and have a creative approach to exploring how working with others can help to address these
  • Thrive in participatory, team-based working environments and desire to support and inspire others in the team.
