Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides services through its three hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester. We provide all general hospital services for planned and emergency care as well as specialist services.

FIXED TERM FOR ONE YEAR

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced operational service manager to work in our Pathology Business Unit. Operational service manager posts are key positions within the trust's clinical management structure.

Your role will be to provide operational service management and leadership to ensure that the Pathology Business Unit achieves its performance objectives by working closely with the clinicians, managers and staff to ensure achievement against financial performance, activity and access targets and in line with our commitment to providing world class care. You will have excellent staff management skills, experience of achieving key performance targets and a working understanding of service transformation projects.

You will be self-motivated and able to work autonomously at pace. You will be effective in managing your time, workload and priorities. You will be highly analytical and confident to challenge the status quo while building excellent working relationships that quickly enable you to become a trusted and credible leader across all staff groups. You will be focused on outcomes and motivated by your drive to support the highest quality care while ensuring the best possible patient experience.

This post will have an element of cross site working primarily between Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital & Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
