An exciting opportunity to join Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Patient Meals Catering Services Team. The post will cover Patient Meals Production Unit (CHH), and Hull Royal Infirmary (HRI) ward catering service and Castle Hill Hospital (CHH), ward catering service.

The successful candidates will have planned daily shifts, but these are subject to change, changes would be verbally agreed by line managers during roster planning. The position below is on a 4 week rolling roster pattern.

Post - Y, 29hrs over a 4 week rolling roster pattern.

Week 1 - Monday - 10.30am - 18.30pm (WC)CHH, Wednesday 10.30 - 18.30pm (WC)HRI, Friday 0.30 - 18.30pm (WC)HRI/CHH

Responsible for the supervision of catering staff employed in the provision of high quality, Patient Meals which meet the needs of all patient groups, and fulfils the objectives of the Trust.

To promote and maintain best practice in all areas of the Patient Meals Catering service, including the effective ordering, storage, preparation, regeneration and service of patient meals. Working on projects to reduce waste and achieve full compliance with food safety.

The successful post holders will work between Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmarysupporting the Patient Meals Services teams.

The successful post holders will be required to work in an environment with varying temperatures including freezers and a physical demand of standing and walking for frequent periods of time during the working day is essential.

The department operates between the hours of 06:00am and 18:30pm 7 days a week and slight variations to working hours will be discussed with the successful candidates at interview.

Please note: This position covers both sites the successful post holder will require access to transport for travelling between sites. Flexibility with working hours is essential and shifts will be agreed in advance and are subject to change.
