This is an exciting new job opportunity to improve patient access to a range of new services. Tunbridge Wells Primary Care Network (PCN) would like to recruit a forward thinking, driven and enthusiastic individual as a Patient Navigation Coordinator to support the practice receptionists in navigating the expanding services available to Tunbridge Wells patients. You will be responsible for ensuring all practice receptionists have a good understanding of the services/clinics available to patients including; how to access the services/clinics on the clinical system, the correct booking processes and the scope of services/clinics. Working alongside the PCN Operations Manager you will ensure a smooth patient journey and ensure that information on new services/clinics is disseminated to reception staff and regularly updated. The postholder will be trained in the basic IT systems.
  • This role will be a mix of home working and working from GP practices.
  • The candidate will need to be flexible with their hours and attend meetings when determined necessary by the PCN.
  • To have previous experience as a GP practice/medical receptionist and knowledge GP practices and the role of the receptionist
  • Good working knowledge and confident in the use of Vision systems but initial training will be provided to support the candidate to the level they need to be
  • Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to articulate complex information both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in training and creating training materials would be desirable

Working pattern: 22.5 hours per week.
