An exciting opportunity to lead a team of administrative transport coordinators has arisen as a result of the current Covid pandemic.

The post-holder will provide business support to the Head of Patient Transport to assist in the delivery of safe and effective transport services, ensuring that all targets, deadlines and objectives are delivered as appropriate. They will manage all admin staff and will assume delegated responsibility for the delivery of financial, activity and access targets.

Patient Transport Services is funded by the Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group to provide Non-Emergency Patient Transport for ambulatory transfers, high dependency unit transfers, mental health patient journeys, repatriations, Isles of Scilly patient flights, taxis and volunteer car services. This is a demanding role that requires a committed and flexible approach to problem solving and is ideally suited to those with a high workload/high pressure management work history.

Working to optimise the county-wide transport requirements for secondary care patients, the manager will liaise with internal clinical leads and external business executives on a daily basis to ensure the needs of the patient are met within national and local policy guidelines.

This role is fundamental in contributing to effective patient flow around the county and will place the successful candidate at the heart of hospital operations.

See the attached role and person specification for further details on this exciting opportunity.
