About the role

Efficient coordination of Reactive, Emergency and Planned works, liaising with Senior Agents/Agents for permit inputting and booking. Offering support to all workstreams to ensure effective coordination of permit control. This role will be based in Worthing (South East)

What you'll be doing

Constructing Excellence
  • Day-to-day contribution of delivery, ensuring efficient and effective processes within the team.
  • Propose and implement changes to support a culture of continual improvement.
  • Provide reports and complete statutory paperwork as required.
  • Ensure quality of service is being maintained and provide technical assistance to the customer and peers.
  • Support the implementation of changes to facilitate continual improvement.
  • Liaise with Senior Agents and Agents to ensure processes are adhered to.
  • Managing Confirm works info and data ready for regular meetings with the contract Business Manager.
  • Manage day to day permit applications and variations to meet KPI requirements.
Health, Safety and Quality:
  • Embedding the culture of Zero Harm.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across all the SHEQ functions.
  • Ensure quality and safety to achieve a right first-time culture.
  • Identifying risk and escalating where appropriate.
Customer Focus
  • Work pro-actively to build strong client relationships with WSCC counterparts and other stakeholders.
  • Liaising with members of the client streetworks team to ensure their needs are met and understood to provide effective delivery.

Who we're looking for

Detailed Knowledge / Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of reviewing and implementing safe systems of work.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written with ability to deal with difficult situations.
  • Ability to understand needs and provide solutions to problems.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and be able to schedule workload to meet priorities.
  • Understanding of the Business Management Systems and processes.
  • Understanding of the HSEQ requirements of construction and design.
Demonstrable experience of asset management systems such as Confirm.
  • Experience of working on a Highways Maintenance Contract.
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication and can provide clear direction.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Adaptable to changing situations
  • A team player.
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Demonstrable computing skills.
