Location -  Calleva Park, Aldermaston

Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Business Assistant to join our Regional Senior Management Team the South Region.

What you’ll do

The successful candidate will provide a high level of administrative and organisational support to the Regional Director, General Managers and Senior Contract Managers.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the Regional Director’s time and diary.

  • Organise and arrange travel and accommodation including the provision of itineraries and administration of expenses thereafter.  

  • Ensure the continued smooth running of the office during the Senior Management Team absence.  

  • Co-ordinate and produce quality information within the required timescales.

  • Responsible for the delivery of good customer services to all customers (internal & external), interacting with the Head Office & Senior teams and ensuring queries are redirected properly.

  • Organise conferences and meetings, ensuring both quality standards and budgetary constraints are met.

  • Produce presentations, spreadsheets and documents to a high standard.  

  • Develop and maintain filing systems and databases.

  • Undertake general administration tasks including correspondence, inquiries, phone calls and follow-up.

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Assist with the onboarding of new employees e.g Graduates/ new businesses and transferring staff

  • Provide support on projects, acquisitions and disposal of assets, including management of deadlines, gathering of information and ensuring deliverables are met by the team.  

  • Administer conferences and meetings.

  • Work with all of the Executive Directors teams, ensuring queries and paperwork is processed in a timely manner.

  • Coordinating meetings and doing all that is necessary to enable smooth running of the business. 

  • Responsible for ensuring Veolia is perceived as it should be and for the best of the company's reputation. - Contributing to the establishment of long term, strong relationships or to keep the distance as necessary. 

  • Ensure compliance with all company processes, and have an active role in ensuring processes are followed when trying to reach the RD.


The experience you will need


  • Previous administration experience at senior level.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Previous organisational and planning experience.

  • Ability to quickly assess and learn to use various software systems.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Good knowledge of Google and/or Microsoft Office products.

  • Good networking skills.

  • Good diplomacy and influencing skills to support the senior regional teams in successfully delivering projects and business change.

  • Focused and robust as required to help obtain results from partners when requested as a business necessity direct instruction from the Regional Director


  • Degree qualified in a Science/ Environmental or Business Administration field

  • Experience of the Waste, Energy or Water Management Business would be advantageous.

Where you’ll work 

You will be a part of a passionate and busy Regional Senior Management Team in the South Region. The teams oversee a variety of projects within Industrial Customers, Water, Wastewater and Facilities Management environment.
