Plumber / Heating Engineer (Mechanical Craftsperson) - Suffolk

Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a skilled Plumber/Heating Engineer to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across our Suffolk sites being based at either of our Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich bases. .

The ideal candidate would be a Gas Safe Registered engineer, however this is not essential as we will support and provide relevant training for the right person.

The successful candidate would be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident in being part of a team that provides a comprehensive maintenance service in a unique and varied environment.

Duties & Responsibilities Associated with this role:
  • To provide a comprehensive service to include all aspects of planned and routine maintenance
  • To repair and maintain a wide range of mechanical services and equipment on site
  • Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation
  • Fault finding and diagnosis
  • Routine inspections to ensure our estate is safe and fully compliant
  • Be prepared to participate as a member of the On-Call Team providing an emergency out of hours service on a rotational basis
