Meta is looking for an experienced Program Associate to help demonstrate the positive value of Meta's family of apps to policymakers, civil society, academia, and other audiences across our major markets on our Spanish Speaking Latin America. Campaigns and Programs are developed across various areas such as economic recovery opportunities for SMBs, Safety in the digital sphere, digital citizenship, and media literacy. We are looking for a candidate who can develop strategic, creative ways to address challenging issues, has excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and has exceptional organizational skills to simultaneously manage multiple fast-moving projects. This is an extraordinary opportunity to join our growing global policy team and work on dynamic programs in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This position is full time and can be based in our Bogota or Buenos Aires Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate ongoing programs and projects, including vendor relationships, and internal communication with different teams.
  • Create and maintain long-standing relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Prepare materials for internal and external audiences to tell the story of Meta's value proposition to key stakeholders.
  • Drive ideation, creation, and execution of new programs, including topics, identification of partners, budget planning and logistics.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for external presentations to influence audiences.
  • Assist in the coordination and organization of offline and online events, including collaterals, training, and outreach.
  • Ensure monitoring and evaluation processes are in place and that effective reporting is completed to demonstrate positive outcomes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in government relations and program managing in Latin American and the Caribbean.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Policy, Communications, International Relations, or related field.
  • Experience with project management and extreme attention to detail.
  • Experience with policy issues, regulatory assessments, politics, and government.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build successful relationships based on collaboration.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and good cross-functional and project management skills with experience managing multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with all levels of seniority, both externally and internally.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment, demonstrate initiative and the ability to flourish amidst ambiguity.
  • Experience coordinating communications activities, events or trainings and monitoring and evaluating projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
