Facebook is looking for a Policy Programs Manager to work with the Policy Programs team in Africa, Middle East and Turkey. As part of Facebook's AMET Public Policy organization, the Policy Programs team is responsible for designing and executing regional programs that leverage the extraordinary reach of Facebook to promote positive social, economic, and cultural outcomes. We are looking for a candidate who can help to develop and launch initiatives that address our policy challenges across the region. This candidate will be responsible for managing digital literacy and social good programs in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey while also overseeing strategic engagements with policy stakeholders across the AMET region when it comes to communicating the value of our programmatic investments and understanding our approach to some of our most pressing issues. Programmatic work will span across the AMET region, with a focus on the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. You should have a basic understanding of the policy challenges Facebook faces in this region along with a passion for community building and an ability to fearlessly execute. You must be a clear communicator, highly organised, impact oriented and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Policy Programs Manager, AMET Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute digital literacy programs across the MENAT region including scaled training programs in partnership with local NGOs, schools, youth centers and more

  • Manage and execute programs that help to build capacity for local NGOs across the MENAT region

  • Help to identify relevant partners to work with for the delivery of our programs

  • Leverage Facebook's social good offerings ranging from Blood Donations, Fundraising tools and Data for Insights to support organisations across the MENAT region

  • Work with AMET Human Rights team to support key MENAT-based Civil Society stakeholders through established capacity building programs

  • Help to develop collateral to support our programs and policy engagements across AMET

  • Work with EMEA Regional Programs to lead in coordinating proactive regulation engagements across AMET

  • Serve as the programs point of contact for use of our internal CRM tool for measuring the impact of our programs in policy engagements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years working in communications, public policy or program management

  • Impeccable integrity, passion for human rights and social impact, sound judgment, creativity and the demonstrated ability to think critically and challenge received wisdom

  • Ability to implement multiple projects simultaneously and to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively

  • Passion for technology and its power to address issues related to entrepreneurship and economic impact

  • Ability to travel frequently and extensively across the region

  • Passion for technology and its power to impact change

  • Superior written and oral communications skills

  • Organisation and an ability to work strategically across all projects

  • Fluency in English, Arabic and French
