Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Associate Director, Quality Assurance, this position is responsible for the management of a team of internal and external experts responsible for the successful delivery of testing activities on EBRD enterprise platform programs. The incumbent will manage the testing activities for multiple assigned projects, programs, or work streams, responsible for the strategic guidance of testing and the associated test planning activities and ensuring that key stakeholders are engaged and informed with accurate, targeted, and timely information.

The incumbent will work closely with the project resourcing managers in order to effectively manage project resourcing plans in an efficient and lean group.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Plan and manage delivery of all functional testing activities for multiple assigned projects and programs.

• Responsible for introduction of testing policies, standards and procedures by actively engaging with project and program stakeholders and ensuring that best practice testing process is followed by regular auditing and review of testing outputs and key testing artefacts.

• Responsible for the team successfully reviewing and approving test plans and test cases enabling alignment with appropriate standards.

• Responsible for ensuring that the team successfully completes and documents all system tests and any problems that arise are managed in line with quality expectations of project stakeholders and Associate Director, QA.

• Responsible for ensuring that Quality Assurance (QA) targets are met across all projects through effective delivery and management of test solutions, pipeline management, status reporting, test planning, peer reviews, thorough analysis of testing results, causal analysis, leading test readiness reviews and post-implementation reviews.

• Responsible for the completion and implementation of Validation testing policies, standards and procedures.

• Advise on testing strategies for a given Portfolio of projects.

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other IT Services functions and customers to expedite delivery of IT testing solutions.

Qualifications & Skills / Experience & Knowledge

Knowledge requirements:

• Experience working within the Banking and or Finance Sector.

• Experience in test management on Agile projects.

• Experience leading a test automation team,

• Experience leading a testing team conducting both functional testing and non-functional testing such as performance testing, security testing, or usability testing.

• Experience using VersionOne Agile management tool is not essential but desirable in this role.

Certifications and Qualifications:

• ISTQB foundation testing certification or equivalent such as ASTQB, ISEB.

• ISTQB Test Manager certification or equivalent such as ASTQB, ISEB.

• Project Management Certification such as PMP is desirable but not essential.

• Agile test management or Scrum Master certification is desirable but not essential.

• Bachelor degree in related discipline such as Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
