What's the role about?

As a Procurement Partner you will be joining the business at an exciting time where your drive, skill and passion will be used to identify opportunities and deliver value throughout the business. Working with like minded colleagues focused within the Retail & Professional Services area of the business. You will actively challenge how the business allocates costs, commits spend and manages 3rd parties with the aim to influence the business to reduce the overall GNFR spend and mitigate Third Party Risk across the Partnership. Working for one of the foremost Retailers in the UK, you will have an opportunity to deliver best value through your procurement, sourcing and negotiation expertise.

What will you be doing?

You will work as part of the Category Planning and Sourcing team. Your focus will be to ensure the smooth operation of our stores across the Partnership, managing stakeholder and supplier relationships, sourcing new products to fuel a dynamic changing retail environment. Driving innovation and cost reduction opportunities. Problem solving issues before they have the ability to impact the retail operation to the detrimental effect to our customers or our business.

What you'll have

Sourcing experience with a foundational knowledge of the end to end procurement process including internal needs analysis, supply market assessments, sourcing strategies, supplier selection, negotiation and contracting. You would be looking for an opportunity to develop your career, where you can learn within a fast paced environment taking on areas of business critical responsibilities early on in your Procurement career. A working knowledge of contract law and drafting commercial agreements with a focus on supplier and contract performance.

What else could you bring?

Ability to challenge stakeholders, building and managing strong relationships both internally and externally to maximise delivery of the Procurement GNFR agenda.

Negotiation skills at a foundational level and is able to support the planning of clear negotiation approaches and perform negotiation analysis including recommendations.
