The primary purpose of the Local Product and Supplier Manager is to represent their aligned Product Category within the assigned geography to drive growth in Product Sales on strategic suppliers faster than overall market. This includes coordinating local product, supplier & customer insight and supplier engagement as well as representing the Category in engaging with suppliers across the Eastern Europe region.

Product and Supplier manager is part of the wider Product & Supplier Management organization and executes the agreed common EMEA category strategy on a local level. This includes developing and leveraging local supplier relationships within the 7pillars framework, focusing on the strategic suppliers in first priority, qualifying new suppliers following a request from the sales team or from insight coming from the EMEA team or from an insight came from a supplier. Main objectives include achieving targeted profitable growth, customer acquisition, market share growth and ROI. This is achieved through development and execution of supplier business plans to realize the category strategy.

The Supplier Manager will be able to visit some customers; however the main task will be to meet suppliers and develop the relationship in order to become first choice for our strategic suppliers.

  • Development and execution of supplier business plans in line with the agreed common EMEA category strategy and local commercial plan
  • Supplier value extraction (rebates, funding)
  • Local sourcing within agreed corridor of terms
  • Communication across all levels of the suppliers' organisations
  • Management of supplier expectations in line with our objectives and category strategy.
  • Securing Minimum Viable Content (MVC) p
  • Product and transactional content onto content aggregator as basis for all new product introductions (NPIs)
  • Successful NPI delivery and performance by supplier following the supplier segmentation .
  • Collaboration across the regional product teams and achievement of suppliers KPI's
  • Use and respect the RACI / SIPOC and ways of working defined
  • Use the SRM to manage the daily work
  • Up to date information on the SRM (supplier contacts, meeting notes, contractual terms, market share)
  • Develop commercial plan in line with local strategy and with collaboration of Marketing and Sales teams and ensure its delivered & invoiced
  • Provide insight to support our Global Strategy
  • Local and Regional supplier engagement
  • Product Compliance
  • Support sales, marketing & customers to drive strategy execution locally
What you will bring:
  • Successful track record in supplier/account management or related discipline
  • Business planning and execution capability
  • A collaborative team player across a business with fast moving, customer driven markets
  • Successful supplier relationship management
  • Ability to work cross functional as well as cross cultural as part of a wider global team
  • Demonstrates an excellent understanding of, and the ability to articulate, the RS Value Proposition
  • Operational problem solver and good process management capability
  • Understands the needs of engineers and buyers (our target customers)
  • Understanding of marketing, purchasing and inventory control
  • Operational problem solver and good process management capability
  • Commercially driven individual with product knowledge, possibly degree in engineering, good knowledge of the industry would be a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication skills required
