Facebook is seeking a Product Development Specialist to join the Product Operations team. Product Operations' mission is to be the experts on functional quality to improve product teams' ability to resolve user issues. If you like helping people, Product Operations is for you.The Product Operations team fuels product quality and engagement by analyzing user issues at scale and advocating for their resolution. As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating and communicating the quality and stability of Facebook's products to engineering, product, design, and other cross-functional partners as reported by internal stakeholders. You'll own the processes for collecting, generating, and triaging internally reported quality issues. Additionally, you will partner with product and engineering teams to implement process and tooling improvements focused on driving developer efficiency, resolution of issues, and improved product quality.

Product Development Specialist Responsibilities

• Become an expert in the health and quality of Facebook products

• Develop and communicate compelling analyses and recommendations over aggregate trends from internal feedback

• Own the process for collecting, investigating, and triaging internal reports of quality and stability issues

• Collaborate with a vendor partner to execute daily triage workflows

• Inform and deliver new strategies and tactics for delivering high-quality products to end users at scale

• Collaborate with other Product, Engineering, and Product Operations partners to implement product, process, tool improvements

• Maintain training and process documentation for product specific triage areas

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years experience interfacing with technologies used to build web and native applications

• Experience with SQL and/or Excel

• Proactive problem solver with experience breaking down ambiguous issues into component parts to develop solutions

• Experience using data to tell a story and influence direction

• Communication experience especially around communicating the measurable impact of a change

• Experience effectively prioritizing conflicting demands

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in computer science, economics, engineering or other related field

• Experience working with remote teams
