Product Manager - Digital Experience
Where in Wellcome will I be working?
Wellcome Collection is a free museum and library that aims to challenge how we all think and feel about health.
Through exhibitions, collections, live programming, digital, broadcast and publishing, we create opportunities for people to think deeply about the connections between science, medicine, life and art.
We are part of the Wellcome Trust, which was established under Sir Henry Wellcome's will in 1936. Wellcome supports science to solve the urgent health challenges facing everyone. Wellcome supports research into life, health and wellbeing, and is taking on three worldwide challenges: mental health, global heating and infectious diseases.
What will I be doing?
As a Product Manager you will be working closely with a multidisciplinary Product Team and with colleagues across Wellcome Collection to ensure the digital products you manage meet or exceed the expectations of our users and that diverse audiences engage with and gain a sense of belonging to Wellcome Collection.
You will take specific responsibility for helping ensure the team have a clear understanding of the problems they are solving, why our audience and users would use it and why Wellcome wants to build it.
You will work with designers, software developers, data analysts, content creators and stakeholders from across Wellcome to build feasible and valuable digital products. In practice this means that you will need to:
Define and champion the vision for the product and how it fits into the rest of the architecture, serving as the key spokesperson for the product being managed, clearly and convincingly communicating the aims of the product internally and externally;
Day-to-day management of your product and the alignment of your product to the overall departmental strategy and product roadmap;
Build and prioritise the product backlog based on effort, research and analysis, testing and need;
Ensure the team appreciate the problems to be solved and help devise desirable and feasible solution with the rest of the team.
In this way, you will help ensure that everyone benefit from and enjoy Wellcome Collection's content and services.
