EU ATS is a high-powered dynamic team which is shaping the middle-mile trans planning and execution, and developing and applying innovative transportation management concepts to improve and enhance the Amazon Transportation network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner, every time. EU ATS TOM (Transportation Operations Management) team is looking for a Program Manager with strong delivery record, analytical skills and ability to own and execute strategic and cross-functional yard management programs for EU FCs/SCs.

About the role

TOM team focuses on managing the yard activities in the Fulfilment centres (FC) and Sort centres (SC) across EU. This team is the interface between Amazon sites and the Supply Chain/Trans organizations. You will be responsible for developing and managing the program management activities and drive new initiatives/projects for TOM team.

Your work will include reviewing existing and upcoming EU FC and SC yard designs and layout and make high impact recommendations to optimize workflow leading to improved safety, better performance and higher utilization of the yards. Your recommendations will also have key impact in reviewing and potentially revising Amazon worldwide standards and procedures.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders to review and critically analyse existing EU FC and SC yard processes and make high impact recommendations to improve them, potentially by automation.

You will also work to standardize and optimize TOM work streams and program databases by developing dashboards, processes to eliminate data duplication and make the databases more streamlined and efficient.

To be successful in this role, you need strong business acumen and analytical skills allowing the data to lead us to a better understanding of how we can improve the yard management processes. You must be able to write SQL queries and build Python codes to dive deep on data. You must be willing to learn and be curious at all times and bring creative thinking in your work approach.

Also key is the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to learn Amazon systems, identify the impact, and effectively communicate to various levels of management internal and external to Amazon.

· Own the program management activities for the EU TOM
· Review current and upcoming EU site yards for design and layout optimization and improved workflow
· Review existing EU site yard processes and improve them by potential automation
· Independently own the designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining the large scale projects.
· Set and clarify the business requirements and targets with the TOM Operations Managers and site leaders
· Establish and maintain the operations metrics and communicate them to TOM leadership and Operations Managers through daily/weekly review meetings
· Document the standard operations processes and take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and among the network
· Work closely with the Operations Managers and sites operations to build and secure support for projects
· Requires some travel mainly within Europe


Basic qualifications
· Bachelors' or Master's Degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ideally in logistics, supply chain, transportation or manufacturing industry
· Strong experience of data mining, business analytics and data-driven decision making skills, especially SQL, Python and Excel
· Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques is not mandatory but helpful
· High ability to deal with ambiguity and handle changing priorities, to effectively prioritize, to multitask, and to use good judgment in pressure situations
· Ability to develop creative and scalable solutions independently, and drive them from ideation to successful completion; results oriented; "self-starter"
· Flexible to work a variety of hours as per the business demands
· Strong oral communication and excellent business writing skills - able to communicate effectively with senior management, tech teams, and international stakeholders
· Fluent in English


· Bachelor's or Master's Degree or similar education in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a similar related discipline
· Experience with lean process, kaizen, six sigma, and process improvement
