Launched in November 2019, the ITV- and BBC-backed SVOD brings together critically-acclaimed drama & crime, cult & classic comedy, hit reality & entertainment shows, powerful contemporary documentaries, much-loved British films, and this autumn will debut the first of many BritBox Originals with Spitting Image.  Britbox is available on millions of connected TV devices as well as phones, tablets & in web browsers and is adding new partners, features & subscribers all the time.

This role entails…

To plan and coordinate the management and execution of all the key activities required to deliver the agreed objectives for BritBox International and to establish BritBox International as a stand alone entity, excluding those activities being directly managed by territorial heads. 

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with BritBox International peers and shareholders to ensure the delivery of an agreed set of objectives

  • Work with BritBox International peers to ensure dependencies, delivery risks and issues are appropriately surfaced and managed at the board

  • Define, implement and manage the delivery frameworks, project plans, governance, dependencies and activities required to deliver the objectives

  • Develop and maintain strong and supportive relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the Joint Venture.

  • Accurately turn business requirements into planned, fully costed work packages

  • Ensure regular, transparent and clear communication to all stakeholders on progress, challenges and opportunities.

  • Reconcile different perspectives on priorities into a consensus that all stakeholders can support.  Effectively and impartially navigate and resolve conflicting priorities.

  • Line management responsibility for a Project Manager.

  • Due to the early stage of this programme, you should be able to help articulate, develop and scope these activities as well as manage and monitor them downstream.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Experience of start-ups / new businesses in early stage of growth and commercial awareness

  • Experience of / understanding of SVOD businesses

  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders on a complex strategic programme

  • Experience / understanding of corporate structuring and legal / financial / tax set up of new / merged business

  • Excellent written and verbal communication  and interpersonal skills

  • A commercial outlook /  a practical approach to business issues

  • An ability to develop strong and effective relationships across Shareholder teams and with third parties.
