In support of the General Practice Forward View (GPFV) commitments, NHS England (NHSE) is undertaking an International GP Recruitment Programme with a view to recruiting 2000 qualified GPs from the EEA and overseas countries. HEE, NHSE and partners need to expand existing GP induction and refresher provision and develop and deliver a robust end to end education and training process to support this programme.

As part of HEEs contribution to the International GP Recruitment (IGPR) Scheme we are looking to recruit a programme support administrator for an interim period initially, but with potential to extend. The post holder will work as part of a new and small Midlands and East team delivering the workforce agenda for this exciting project. This role will support managers and staff across HEE to provide administrative support to the workstream.

The post holder will work with relevant clinicians and administrative staff to ensure that their work streams of programmes are managed effectively in the east of England. The post holder may be required to provide support to other team members as needed.

The Programme Administrator will work within the regional team providing support to team members in developing and implementing key programmes and projects to enable a flexible, productive and affordable healthcare workforce that meets the needs of patients and changing care pathways and the values set out in the NHS Constitution. The post holder will ensure that efficient administrative support is provided to enable the team to function effectively.

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 4 with a full-time starting salary of £21,892, with a pay step increase after 3 years' service.

These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
